March Madness

It's that time. Games begin today and the Sooners are playing tomorrow night against San Diego St. Big reason for this post was to say how awesome it is that Lon Kruger is the first coach to take 5 different schools to the tourney! Congrats coach and GO SOONERS!!!!

USA Basketball

Is anyone else still in shock about the win over Nigeria? That is just unbelievable basketball. 156-73?!? Carmelo had 37 points in 14 minutes of play. Congrats guys! You did amazing.

The 2012 Summer Olympics

It's here!!

The Olympics begin today and I couldn't be more excited. It's exciting to think how many people from Oklahoma are going to be participating/coaching in this summers Olympics. Even more exciting when you know one of them. We have wrestlers from OU, gymnasts from OU, NBA players from the Thunder, and more. Check out the list here.

It's just exciting all around.

BCS National Championship

I haven't had a chance to elborate on this weekends final selection of who will playing in BCS National Championship this year. Let me just start by saying that yes, I am disappointed that the Sooners lost to the Cowboys this year but we all knew that was going to happen. To many inguries and lack of motivation to win equals losing to OSU. I will give props when props are due and OSU was outright the better team in Oklahoma this year. I stress this year. As I told my family on Saturday night, "Let OSU go ahead and rack up 40 more points on us and let them go to the National Championship". Well as all of you OSU fans learned Sunday night, the ass beating that OSU put on OU wasn't enough. Now we have to watch a horrible rematch between 2 SEC teams. Nothing was more boring as the game between LSU/Alabama this year, except for Kayne West's Spring 2012 RTW show in Paris this year. Yes, I just compared a fashion show to a college football game but I just call them like I see them. For some reason the SEC seems to be the golden child of college football which I don't quite understand and maybe never will, good luck Texas A&M.

OSU did get their first BCS bowl game and will be playing Stanford in the Fiesta Bowl. May the Orange Power be mightier than "LUCK". The Sooners will be heading to Arizona for the Insight Bowl. Fun fact, the last time OU played Iowa was in 1979 and Bob Stoops was a freshman for the Iowa Hawkeyes. GO SOONERS!!!!!!!

903

Congrats Coach K for becoming Division 1's winningest coach with 903 wins. Coach K passed his mentor and college coach, Bobby Knight, last night with a win over Michigan State.

I just love Coach K! Congrats again!!

Game Time

Today is the first game of the year and I am totally pumped to be heading to Norman for the game!! BOOMER SOONER!!!

Pat Summitt

The legendary women's basketball coach Pat Summitt, 59, has been diagnosed with early onset dementia. She plans to continue to coach the Lady Vols for her 38th season this year and as many more years as she possibly can. This is heartbreaking news to me and my thoughts go out to this amazing woman. Good Luck Coach!

LJ on SI

LJ will be one of the 5 players on the SI college football preview cover.

Jinx, yes or no? Who knows?

The season hasn't even started and I am already a nervous wreck. I have a love/hate relationship with college football, mostly OU football.

KD

Check out KD at Rucker Park last night in Harlem. Please oh please let there be a basketball season!!!!

Abby Wambach

Even though USA lost in the World Cup Finals this play by Alex Morgan and Abby Wambach was still totally rad.

OU Engagement

Clearly I am the last to know about this but I am posting it anyways. Congrats to Landry and Whitney on their engagement Sunday night. You should probably start having kids right away so they can be the next big stars at OU. I am just saying.

Dude No. 1

Once I convince James Harden to be my man, this will be the first gift I give him. It just seems fitting, don't you think?
